Longstanding partner of Slam Jam over the years and after designing for cult streetwear label Silas, Central Saint Martins graduate Sofia Prantera, founded Aries in London in 2010 with graphic design legend Fergus Purcell and the support of Slam Jam's Luca Benini. By combining an eclectic set of references including cyberpunk, skate and the rave scene, Prantera has created a luxury label which is difficult to pigeonhole, combining authentic streetwear staples with high fashion, and producing collections that are both androgynous and delicately feminine at times. Their slogan T-shirts and DIY style denim have become a favourite of scene kids and fashion editors. With their “moshpit meets the runway” style, this bohemian luxury streetwear label is here to stay.
