Collection: Celine
Céline Vipiana founded her fashion house in 1945, starting as a boutique of made-to-measure shoes for children. In the 1960s they launched their ready-to-wear collection for women, luxury sportswear with couture finishes, which is still the hallmark of the house today. Michael Kors was recruited in the late 1990s to revive the brand, but it was Phoebe Philo who turned Celine into one of the most important brands in luxury fashion when she took the helm in 2007, with her sleek, minimalist contemporary take on Vipiana's vision. She is followed by Hedi Slimane in 2018, a veteran of such luminary brands as Dior Homme and Saint Laurent. With a talent for making nostalgia modern, he is the custodian of Parisian fashion memory. His designs evoke the bourgeoisie of the 70s, a very compelling rock and roll luxe style.
